Bodmin Holiday Park

We are staying at Bodmin Holiday Park in one of the Villas. They are very spacious inside. The one we are in has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. A good size kitchen and large dining room/living space. There is plenty of space between us and the neighbouring villa. The kitchen and bathroom and fully functional, clean and tidy just a bit dated around the edges. The overall park is nice and well kept. The fishing lakes are nice to have a walk around. The bar and restaurant look like they have had a refresh recently so we are very welcoming. The staff are friendly, polite and helpful. There are plenty of local pubs in the area (we have tried a few whilst being here) that serve good pub cooked food!

I have to be honest I was extremely disappointed in the accommodation. Probably one of the worst I have ever stayed in but the price certainly didn't reflect that. . Shower downstairs (yellowed plastic) had to be turned off and on repeatedly to get it to stop pouring. Upstairs the jacuzzi bath was broken and the holes around just made me think of stagnant water in the pipes. Cupboards were blown and some cupboard doors had just been removed. Very little storage in bedroom, again doors removed. Couldn't open patio window/doors - probably for safety as balcony was rotten. The barest of essential utensils in kitchen. Screw sticking up in kitchen floor ripped socks Smelt so much on arrival we had to buy air freshners. We did report and ask to be moved but perk was full. No solution/compensation offered. We didn't stay the full week. However, the staff were friendly although overworked doing multiple jobs. The park itself was pleasant and had our accommodation been better, my review would have been. It really needs removing from the available holidays as it may be an anomaly and letting the park down. As it was my first Park Holidays experience and probably one I won't repeat now.
